We welcomed Firearms Safety Course, SELCO Camp Read-a-lot, ABLE/HCO, Discover Canoeing Seminar, and held a Residence Open House.
Eagle Bluff held a Firearms Safety Course for people of all ages to firearms safety certification from Sunday to Tuesday.
Librarians from SE Minnesota came here for SELCO Camp Read-a-lot on Monday and Tuesday.
Adults from ABLE/HCO came on Thursday and Friday and participated in a lot of activities including Rock Climbing, Archery, Dream Catchers, Star Lab, Nature Walk, South Treetops, and the Raptor Program.
On Saturday afternoon the Discover Canoeing Seminar was held. Despite a downpour in the morning, the afternoon cleared up and was a beautiful day for a canoe trip.
Eagle Bluff’s Director, Joe Deden, held a Residence Open House to allow people to check out the Deep Energy Reduction Renovations that were made to his house.
- Dragonflieswere seen in great abundance by the Root River.
- Lots of Swallows can be seen eating insects by the Root River, open fields, and roadsides. They have to gain a lot of weight to prepare for their migration south.
